As time progresses, it is common to get stains on your teeth due to age, genetics, diet or poor hygiene. Teeth begin to have a more yellow appearance or sometimes become more prone to brown marks. There are numerous evasive or cosmetic ways to get your teeth whiter, but here at Merola, we like to go down the more natural route to brighten up your teeth. Having that Hollywood smile can be achieved without a trip to Los Angeles. Here are our top tips to helping you get your own Oscar- winning smile!
Avoid cigarettes and coffee
Ok, so this may be easier said than done for some. But cigarettes and coffee are some of the top known offenders for discolouring your enamels.
Brush between meals
This could mean keeping a toothbrush in your bag for while you are at work or out, but in the long run, you will reap the benefits.
Drink more water
Some of your favourite soft drinks may contain harmful substances that contribute to staining.
Baking soda, strawberry and sea salt
Most people have heard about using baking soda to remove stains, and there are many toothpastes that use this as a main ingredient. Yet, not many know about the benefits of strawberries. They are rich in Vitamin C, which breaks down plaque, and also contain malic acid, which are excellent stain removers!
Make a paste using baking soda, mashed strawberries and a pinch of sea salt. Apply the paste on to your teeth for 5 minutes and then rinse. Do this as regularly as you wish and you
